Furia is the name of the co-sponsored CLAFIS Victron Energy solar racing boat shown above, resplendent in her new 2016 racing colours.
You may recall in an earlier blog Sun, Speed & Sponsorship, in 2014, the effort that has gone into these boats and their development – not to mention their winning ways.
Provisional results just in
Today (9 July) marks the last day of this year’s Dutch Solar Challenge which started on July 2 in Amsterdam. Yesterday the team were in Grou – with the Victron flags flying high.
Today sees the Dutch Solar Challenge complete in Leeuwarden.
Checking in on team T62 earlier this morning – it seems that (provisionally) in the Sprint Competition T-Class – CLAFIS Victron Energy are 1st!
If this continues in the Monte-Carlo Cup 2016, which the team head off to from 14 to July 16, then there may be even more success to add to the winning ways of the previous results shown below, for the CLAFIS Victron Energy team.
Conclusion
These solar boats are no slouches, just look at a clip from their top speed yesterday! In the meantime we look forward to hearing of the final results from today and wish the CLAFIS Victron Energy solar boat team every success for the coming Solar Grand Prix of Monaco.
