We’re excited to announce the release of VictronConnect App v6.10, a significant update that brings a range of improvements to make system configuration and management easier.
Highlights
LAN/WiFi Connectivity for GX Devices
The standout feature of this release is the ability to connect directly to your GX device over your local network. This eliminates the need for individual Bluetooth connections, speeding up commissioning and configuration adjustments.
By connecting directly to your GX device over LAN or WiFi, you can now access and configure your entire system more efficiently, without the limitations of Bluetooth range or the need for multiple pairings.
User experience
Profile pictures in the VRM installations list make it easier to navigate and identify your systems. The settings lock feature is now more accessible, with a lock icon always visible on the settings page of each device.
The product discovery troubleshooting page now provides clearer notifications about potential connection issues, such as disabled Bluetooth or missing network permissions.
Firmware updates
EV Charging Stations can be firmware updated directly through the app, using a combination of Bluetooth and LAN/WiFi connectivity, and the included firmware has been updated to v2.0.0.
Settings for standalone VE.Bus Inverter/Chargers are now automatically restored after a firmware update, simplifying the process and minimising downtime. Assistants are not supported, so if you are using assistants, please continue to use the VE.Bus tool suite.
Firmware v1.19 for the Multi RS has been added, which brings support for Europe, Belgium, and Poland Grid Codes, enabling ESS functionality and grid feed-in for users in these regions.
Additional improvements
- Energy meter support for Multi RS: The Multi RS now supports energy meters, providing more comprehensive monitoring and management of your energy consumption.
- Victron energy meter line-to-line voltages and split phase support: The VM3P-75CT Energy Meter functionality has been expanded to include line-to-line voltages and split phase support (L1/L2).
- Instant readout for Phoenix and Blue Smart Chargers: Firmware v3.61 for Phoenix & Blue Smart Chargers introduces Instant Readout for quicker access to key information.
- Set the security profile for a GX device: The new Network Security Profile introduced in Venus OS v3.50 can be set on GX devices over Bluetooth.
